VAST is the premier gallery of the highest quality large-format wall art photographs. Our world-renowned artists create record-setting gigapixel photos you can own as fine art prints or license as digital file downloads.
This VAST Photo was created by stitching 70 input images from my high-resolution camera. I took a single exposure for each of the sky-only images. The other input images are comprised of two bracketed exposures to capture details in both bright and dark areas. The result allows for ultra-high resolution large format fine art photographic prints of the U.S. Capitol Building to view in detail at a close distance.

Marin County is known around the world for its scenic beauty. I am fortunate enough to be able to call this place home. I try to take several hikes a week, exploring new areas and revisiting old favorites. There is no need for a gym membership here!
I always bring my camera with me. Never know what opportunities will present themselves. I'm not-so-much the kind of photographer who plans a shot months in advance and visits the location 10 times, then when the conditions are right, anchor down the tripod for hours and get the shot. That's just not how my brain works. I prefer to put myself in situations and areas where good things are likely to happen, and quickly react to inspiration as it comes to me.
