"Magnificent Nature"
An impressively diverse landscape and a play of contrasts make the Lofoten archipelago a unique jewel off the Norwegian mainland.
The Village Reine has many interesting motifs to offer, but the most spectacular is the 442 m high Reinebringen. These mountain is probably the most popular hike in Lofoten. A short but steep path leads up the mountainside to a ridge high above the village of Reine.
The short hike to the top is no longer a challenge since the expansion with steps. However, only for people with a head for heights. The view is breathtaking in the truest sense of the word.
The extremely imposing mountains and islands of Lofoten rise from the sea and present themselves to the visitor.
A total of 80 small and large islands make up Lofoten and give it a unique charm.
The picture shows a typical Norwegian village with fishermen's huts "rorbuer", the "Kirkefjord" and the striking mountain Olstinden. Only a narrow road connects the unique island world of the Lofoten archipelago over many single-lane bridges.
