The Oculus you see in the photo is just the top of a complex that is underneath those big giant wings. Many retail stores and transportation hub that is the intersection of many subway lines.
Everyone visiting the 9/11 memorial site walks around mesmerized by the sheer beauty and immense size of the Freedom Tower (although its official name is 1 World Trade Center, I still call it Freedom Tower) my eyes always get stuck on the elegant beauty of The Oculus with its giant white wings. Did you know those huge white steel ribs move?
When I was walking around and trying to find the best way to represent this amazing structure, there were several options but I found the best spot when I walked across the street. From there, its beauty among other skyscrapers very clear. From this vantage point, it looks like a Dove that is about to take off and fly away. But the challenge of taking photos from that point was the traffic. I was able to take photos only when the light turns red and the cars stop. At least for the first row of the panorama which made the process a little longer than usual.
