There is nothing quite like a Manhattan morning. Watching the rising sun radiating off glistening skyscrapers is something I will never get tired of.
Unsurprisingly, this is one of my favorite times to photograph the city, the whirr of my camera shutter accompanied by the sounds of this great city purring to life. Each passing minute gets louder and brighter, filled with the exciting adventures of a new day.
On this morning, I was perched on a private Queens rooftop I had been granted access to, providing me with a vantage point few New Yorkers have ever seen. The East River lay before me with a lone tug boat steaming upriver.
My equipment was ready to begin shooting; I was just waiting for the right moment when the warm-tinted light would be balanced with the cool-tinted blue sky. As that moment came, I began quickly shooting the 47 exposures that comprise this ultra-high-resolution VAST photo.
Due to this VAST photo's incredibly high resolution, many classic Manhattan buildings are visible in exquisite detail, from the Empire State Building to the United Nations building. Accentuating the right side of the photo is 432 Park Avenue, a fresh new tower that has redefined the iconic skyline.
Further adding to this VAST photo's uniqueness is a fresh blanket of snow that coats many features of the city in a pristine white sheen. The sun would soon melt this coat away, but not before I captured this truly unique image of a beautiful Manhattan morning.

Our photographic prints are created using a specialty, large-format fine art printer designed to produce archival, museum-grade prints. They are true "chromogenic" prints: light-sensitive paper exposed in a darkroom using state-of-the-art lasers to produce the sharpest possible image. Click on the icons below to learn more or click here to explore further.
Our photographic prints are available in one of two finishes: glossy and lustre. Glossy prints have a rich, silky saturation and are great for environments where the lighting and reflections have been carefully thought through. Lustre prints have a bright, sparkle-like finish that diffuses reflections and are therefore more versatile for environments where the lighting and reflections are less under your control.
Your print comes with two certificates of authenticity hand-signed by the artist and the printmaker: one that you will affix to the finished piece and one that remains standalone. Additionally, your print's provenance is tracked and verified using state-of-the-art digital technology. Learn more.
Our acrylic glass displays are ready-to-hang works of art that contain one of our photographic prints sealed between flame-polished acrylic glass and an aluminum backing. A hidden mounting brace on the rear causes the display to gracefully "float" off the wall for a sleek, modern frameless look that complements nearly any decor style.
