The Iseran massif is a mountainous group of the Vanoise Alps and the Grand Arc (Alpi Graie), located in the French department of Savoy. All the peaks that are part of it are abundantly over 3000 meters high.
This area is located on the border between Italy and France and in winter is known for its ski sports facilities, which start from the small municipalities of Lanslevillard and Lanslebourg.
I often go to this area to photograph, because the light, especially in the afternoon, comes cut from the left side and creates spectacular plays of light that highlight the rock formations of the massif and all the shapes that have been created by erosion on the enormous slopes.
If you explore the photo, you will see how many rocky shapes can be seen, small canyons and gleaming limestone rocky views, waterfalls that jump tens of meters, streams that arise at high altitude and descend to the valley tracing endless paths. Larch and pine forests embellish the whole area, full of pastures and mountain pastures inhabited all summer (you can see in the photo some houses inhabited by the mountaineers who live up there with their cattle in the summer).
To take this photo I positioned myself in the only point that allows the view of the interior valley, tens of kilometers long, completely surmounted by gigantic mountains: a small square where a control shed was mounted for some antennas used for telecommunications

Our photographic prints are created using a specialty, large-format fine art printer designed to produce archival, museum-grade prints. They are true "chromogenic" prints: light-sensitive paper exposed in a darkroom using state-of-the-art lasers to produce the sharpest possible image. Click on the icons below to learn more or click here to explore further.
Our photographic prints are available in one of two finishes: glossy and lustre. Glossy prints have a rich, silky saturation and are great for environments where the lighting and reflections have been carefully thought through. Lustre prints have a bright, sparkle-like finish that diffuses reflections and are therefore more versatile for environments where the lighting and reflections are less under your control.
Your print comes with two certificates of authenticity hand-signed by the artist and the printmaker: one that you will affix to the finished piece and one that remains standalone. Additionally, your print's provenance is tracked and verified using state-of-the-art digital technology. Learn more.
Our acrylic glass displays are ready-to-hang works of art that contain one of our photographic prints sealed between flame-polished acrylic glass and an aluminum backing. A hidden mounting brace on the rear causes the display to gracefully "float" off the wall for a sleek, modern frameless look that complements nearly any decor style.
