It is nearly impossible to think of Boston, Massachusetts and not think of its spectacular history. This sunset image was taken from the top floor of a parking garage across the street from the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The Light Art Installation known as the Color Commons, can be seen glowing pink, these lights can be controlled by text message from your phone. Directly across the street is the Flour and Grain Building built in the mid 1890s and is sometimes referred to as the Boston Chamber of Commerce Building.
To the right you can see the iconic clock tower of the Boston Custom House, the tower was added to the original building in 1915. The tower made this the tallest building in Boston until 1964 when the Prudential Tower was finished. As the sun was setting it illuminated the magnificent clouds over the city and the lights began coming on in all the buildings around us.
This VAST image is compromised of over 160 individual photographs. Since this was taken right at sunset the light and conditions where changing quickly. I had to work fast in order to capture ever detail in the scene before the light changed to drastically.
