430 megapixels! A very high definition landscape VAST photo of snow on the Sierra Nevada mountains during winter; created at sunset by Dan Piech

Winter in the Sierra Nevada

430 MEGAPIXEL VAST PHOTO
Olympic Valley, California
The Sierra Nevada certainly have mountains that are objectively more impressive than these. However, as the sun was setting on a late-winter day, I noticed the pleasing balance of trees and snow throughout this scene. Many mountains have either treeless tops or tree-covered tops. These were speckled with trees, however - great material for a VAST Photo.

Print only

Our photographic prints are created using a specialty, large-format fine art printer designed to produce archival, museum-grade prints. They are true "chromogenic" prints: light-sensitive paper exposed in a darkroom using state-of-the-art lasers to produce the sharpest possible image. Click on the icons below to learn more or click here to explore further.

Our photographic prints are available in one of two finishes: glossy and lustre. Glossy prints have a rich, silky saturation and are great for environments where the lighting and reflections have been carefully thought through. Lustre prints have a bright, sparkle-like finish that diffuses reflections and are therefore more versatile for environments where the lighting and reflections are less under your control.

Your print comes with two certificates of authenticity hand-signed by the artist and the printmaker: one that you will affix to the finished piece and one that remains standalone. Additionally, your print's provenance is tracked and verified using state-of-the-art digital technology. Learn more.

Canvas display

Our ready-to-hang canvas displays are made using a specialty printer that carefully lays ink down onto archival-quality fine art canvas material made by industry-leader Fredrix. The canvas material is then stretched around a 1.5 inch thick wood brace with the photograph appearing to wrap around the edges of the piece. Additionally, our canvas material has a delightfully matte finish that doesn't show any reflections and looks spectacular in any lighting conditions. Click on the icons below to learn more.

Your canvas display has two certificates of authenticity hand-signed by the artist and the printmaker: one affixed to the rear of the canvas and one standalone. Additionally, each print is assigned a unique serial number via a permanent hologram seal and recorded in our registry. Its provenance is tracked and verified using state-of-the-art digital technology. Learn more.

Acrylic glass display

Our acrylic glass displays are ready-to-hang works of art that contain one of our photographic prints sealed between flame-polished acrylic glass and an aluminum backing. A hidden mounting brace on the rear causes the display to gracefully "float" off the wall for a sleek, modern frameless look that complements nearly any decor style.
