On appointment by the King Vittorio Amedeo II, the famous architect Juvarra designed in 1729 a majestic mansion befitting the station of high-ranking noblemen on hunting days, as symbolized by the stag by Ladatte standing on the top of the central portion of the roof. Its symmetric plan unwinds to form a "shell keep" around the main body, with brickwork farm buildings and stables for hackneys and hunters built on the outside. The perspective of the complex as a whole converges towards the hall where four gigantic columns support the imposing oval-shaped ceiling and the balcony. Since its original configuration, the Hunting Lodge at Stupinigi was developed in the 18th Century into a fine place of residence for holding hunting parties and entertaining many visiting dignitaries. The all Lodge has been extensively restored and owned by the Ordine Mauriziano.
To celebrate this very famous italian building, I took over one hundred photos with accurate focus and focus stacking techniques on each single shot, using a 180mm macro prime lens to obtain the maximum details of the finest architecture structures of the building
