When I was traveling through southern British Columbia near the US border, I came upon a large area that had been completely devastated by a forest fire two years earlier. The trees had all been killed off by the fire but they were still standing. What absolutely amazed me were the wildflowers that had naturally grown up between the trees. The flowers represented new life in an area that had been burned to the ground. The principal of new life jumped out at me. No matter how bad loss seems at the time, there is always something unexpected and good that can emerge from the ashes.
I took this panorama photo with multiple photos that I later stitched into one high-resolution photo.
Whenever I look at this image it makes me remember the principle of new life.
