Eastern Washington is normally warm and dry in the Summer but when humidity flows in from somewhere it can get muggy and when I made this image it was a warm and muggy morning with a lite breeze that reminded me of the tropics which the Palouse is definitely not.
I had scouted this location the day before and liked the yellow Canola and green Soft White wheat with the blue sky and wanted to be there for sunrise, to get that fresh morning light on these vibrant colors. The building clouds really make this image pop for me, I couldn't have asked for more.
