Morning in the Columbia River Gorge (National Scenic Area) is a stunningly beautiful sight to see. Better known for the countless waterfalls in the area there is natural beauty everywhere. Its one of those places where its hard not to make nice images. The number of scenic pullouts, waterfalls and trailheads is high. You can spend a week here and still come up short and if that's not your thing then try all the wine tasting rooms. I might sound like a Chamber of Commerce ad but there is no shortage of things to do here.
The Columbia River Gorge (The Gorge) here separates Washington from Oregon and is a major transportation route for barges transporting grain from eastern Washington and eastern Oregon to the Port of Portland. Interstate 84 and two major train routes also pass through the Gorge.
