I've been waiting for at least 8 years to make this image. Seattle has had an ongoing building boom that this image would have had at least 5 cranes on new buildings everyday for at least the past 8 years. The skyline looks brand new to me and I grew up here.
With the Space Needle from the 1962 Worlds Fair and Mt. Rainier as a back drop this it's still the classic view of the city even if it is seemingly brand new.
Look carefully on the rooftops of the apartment buildings and you might see people enjoying the evening or people on the observation deck of the Space Needle watching twilight fall on the city. If you make it to Seattle go to Kerry Park and join the evening crowd of locals and visitors enjoying sunset on the city.
