I am also a music producer in my other life and one evening I decided to take this hyper detailed shot of my made in USA Fender Stratocaster. I have this very piece adorning the wall of my studio and it always reminds me that I love to photographs objects that I love.
The classic Fender Stratocaster, designed in 1954 and synonymous with well known guitar players across many genres but perhaps most known as the guitar of choice of Jimi Hendrix.
This particular model is a made in USA HSS version and features a lacquered maple neck. The HSS stands for humbucker / single / single which relates to the type of pickups installed. Earlier Stratocasters were nearly always made in the SSS configuration (single / single / single). The addition of a Humbucker allows for greater output and reduced noise.
