Florence, Italy is a magical city. There is something about the pace of life and attitude of the inhabitants here that convince you that they know something the rest of us don't.
Once you get away from the tourist-y attractions and find yourself wandering the stone streets where the people of Florence actually live, there is an unmistakable charm that makes you forget you are actually in a city. Instead, as you eat one unbelievable meal after another and open up another bottle of incredible local wine, you feel like you are in a small intimate town.
This city holds a special place in my heart, so on this most recent trip back, I knew I had to complete an ultra-high resolution VAST photo of the Florence city skyline to try and capture the extraordinary detail and beauty that this city has to offer.
From the Piazzale Michelangelo on the south side of the river, you get a sweeping view of the city, and are able to see in incredible high resolution detail all of the famous locations and attractions. This includes the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore on the right with its beautiful red-tiled dome (the "duomo"), and even Ponte Vecchio, the famous bridge filled with high-end shops and wonderful views of both sides of the embankments of the Arno river.
Captured right as the sun was beginning to set on a windy evening in May, and with some dramatic clouds to create a bit of interest in the sky, this ultra-high resolution VAST photo brings into vivid detail all of the wonderful elements that make Florence such an incredible city to visit. I am already planning my next trip to return here.

Our photographic prints are created using a specialty, large-format fine art printer designed to produce archival, museum-grade prints. They are true "chromogenic" prints: light-sensitive paper exposed in a darkroom using state-of-the-art lasers to produce the sharpest possible image. Click on the icons below to learn more or click here to explore further.
Your print comes with two certificates of authenticity hand-signed by the artist and the printmaker: one that you will affix to the finished piece and one that remains standalone. Additionally, your print's provenance is tracked and verified using state-of-the-art digital blockchain encryption technology. Learn more.
Our acrylic glass displays are ready-to-hang works of art that contain one of our photographic prints sealed between flame-polished acrylic glass and an aluminum backing. A hidden mounting brace on the rear causes the display to gracefully "float" off the wall for a sleek, modern frameless look that complements nearly any decor style.
