True Giclee Print Process
"Giclee" is an art market term for prints that have been made using the highest quality, state-of-the-art inkjet printing processes and materials. Giclee prints are required to have been produced using pigment inks, extremely precise inkjet nozzles, and archival-rated papers.
Pigment Inks
Unlike most inkjet prints that use dye-based inks, our printer uses pigment inks carefully laid down onto premium paper substrates to ensure the maximum amount of vibrancy, saturation, and color reproduction.
Brilliant, True-To-Life Color
Most inkjet printers have 4 ink colors (CMYK). Our printer has a dozen ink colors, ensuring our prints have an ultra-wide color gamut and high dynamic range. This means that the colors in the print have a sublime vibrancy and are rich with contrast. Furthermore, color gradients found in subjects such as vivid sunsets and flowing water are silky smooth and appear true-to-life.
Museum-Quality Archival Rating
The materials and methods we use in our printing process have been designed to meet the most demanding standards for archival length set by leading museums and galleries. Our fine art prints will retain perfect color permanence for 150+ years in typical lighting conditions and have a theoretical archival rating of 200+ years in cold storage.
