I had been watching this storm cell build, rain, throw lightning and finally get colorful for over an hour as I was driving in southern Utah a few years back. For some reason I was hesitant to stop and try making this Vast image. I think what finally made me stop was the trees silhouetted on the ridge line near the bottom of the frame. They added a sense of scale I hadn't seen while driving and I like seeing that sense of scale in image.
